Baby Beds around the world? - wooden bed guard
I just try to clarify how different countries define a cot, as I have seen here, to publications in the beds, cots and cribs and playpens. In fact, when I holiday in Canada with my (then) 15 months, there was some confusion!
I'm in the UK. Here the children can sleep:
A basket - a small oval bed, fabric on a support.
A manger - usually made of wood, slightly larger than a basket, good for 6 months or so. Very often rockers or swinging action.
A cradle - a bed, the four sides, so it is one that is often like a "." The base is what is above, if the child is small, and are reduced once the baby can be adjusted.
A child's bed - a cot, has removable parts last much longer, probably until 5 or 6 years.
A bed for young children - bed, just above the ground, often with handrails.
Travel bed - a bed with side mesh that is used during your holidays / visits, etc.
Park - a little square or hexagonal cageon the ground - a place of Plunk baby and (hopefully) there 10 minutes later.
How do they differ from the rest of the world?

I think the terminology is different here in the U.S. (maybe Canada?) Not sure.
Moses Basket - small wicker basket of hand soft, oval ... not to my knowledge.
A manger, what he calls a "cradle". The def. the nursery is what I call a manger * *. It could also be rather wooden stick.
