Oak Bark What Kind Of Oak Tree Has Golfball-sized, Mottled Green Seedballs Or Fruits?

What kind of oak tree has golfball-sized, mottled green seedballs or fruits? - oak bark

Today we were (we live in central Florida near Tampa Bay) and found a tree that many balls of seeds or fruits that had hung from the branches of a single thin. They are the guts (I know what they are), and when they are opened, one is white, wolf-fart withdrawal. The oak tree is a bay, but we do not know which. The bark resembles the bark of the oak. Thank you!

A picture would certainly help. From the description I am not convinced, not that you see an old nerve.

There are more than one type of poison that affects the oaks. And maybe even in a development that is different from the usual. Check out this (very cool green spots): http://www.flickr.com/photos/chickeninth ...

And in the big states: http://www.flickr.com/photos/44328604 @ N0 ...

A photo of the trees / leaves and bark can also help - it is possible that this is not an oak at all, and identity can help reduce the number of clusters.

Hi Emily,

It would be extremely helpful if you have pictures of the fruit and leaves, and a photo of the tree.
