How much clearance do I need above an IC recessed light? - what is ic butal
I'm rebuilding my kitchen / dining room and bought IC Downlights in. I had only about an inch by 1 / 2 the space above the lighting unit. Is there enough space between the floor and lighting?

Yes it is. IC (Insulation Contact) is scheduled for boxes of zero tolerance, it is beautiful. Do not exceed the number of hits for the bulb wattage. Hope this helps.
